Katina had been a member of the local temple for ages, the same temple that her helped build. The building however was going to be seized because there was simply not enough money to purchase the mortgage. They said either they would accept her temple, or she would have to pay them back in some other terms. She agreed to pay with her flesh, and they cashed in on that deal.
